After reading our Book Of The Week 'Peace At Last', we went on a sound walk around the school grounds. We listened carefully to the different sounds around our school, completed a chart and then shared our findings with our friends. Yesterday, we had the most amazing day at Warwick Castle. When we first arrived we headed up the towers and did the rampart walk. Some of us were nervous about climbing all those spiral stairs and getting to the top. But we were very proud of ourselves and it was a great sense of achievement and relief when we got to the bottom of the last tower. Next was the maze. We collected our 'Time Passport' and set about finding the six periods of history and collected a stamp from each one. We had a giggle taking these photos and finding out some interesting facts about the Gunpowder Plot. After we had collected our prize, we then headed to meet the bowman. He was very entertaining and told us lots about medieval warfare. We really enjoyed watching him try and hit the target. He made it look much easier than it actually is.
